I have been busy this week sewing and priming it up. I have been blessed with many orders and I thank God everyday for the honor of being able to have the time to do what I LOVE...SEWING!!!
It was only a few years ago, when I was working 2 jobs, did my heart long to stay home and be a FULL-TIME seamstress. While I was at work...I would envision, in my head, the next creation I would create when I had the time.
Now, I can create and sew all day long and I DO (THANK YOU JESUS)....that is the BEST thing for me about moving to Wisconsin Rapids is being able to sew ALL DAY!!!! ...it is now my job and it is a job I LOVE.
WOW, God is soooooooooooo good!!! He knows the desires of our hearts...HE knew how much I LOVE to sew.....he created me with the desire.
I remember when I was in 7th grade and in home Ec class, we had the unit on sewing. It was in the early 70's and I made a 70's style smock shirt that tied in the back and I LOVED MAKING IT but I was too embarrassed to admit it because everyone else hated sewing. I thought "what is wrong with me" because I LOVED SEWING THAT SHIRT and everyone else hated sewing theirs. How STUPID that I let everyone elses likes or dislikes affect me back then!!!!!....live and learn I guess...I was young and dumb. I wish I had that shirt right now, I would frame it and hang it in my living room to remind me of my youthful awaking and to remind me as an adult to follow your dreams and dare to be different.
I think it turned out cute...it is sitting at the Country Freckle as we speak
My plan for next week is to keep working on new items, get my orders filled, and to start working my my western show shirts.
This Saturday my husband is going to set up some more shelves so I have additional storage and I can keep things organized for my western show shirt fabrics. Horse shows are right around the corner and I want to have a few shirts made up for the start of the season.
That's about it for now...hope you all have a blessed weekend...God Bless...Rhonda
