During this Thanksgiving season, we all have so much to be thankful for......Brent and I are so thankful for his job here in Wisconsin Rapids...he really likes growing cranberries. And with gas prices coming down, it makes it easier for me to go home to Spooner to see my family and friends so I am thankful for that. Thank you Jesus for all the blessings you have givin unto us. But we are forever thankful most of all, for your son JESUS CHRIST our Lord and Savior!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.......I love you all....God Bless....Rhonda

What Ya Workin On Wednesday

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. We had our first snow here in was so pretty, I had to take some pictures. The first snow always reminds me of when my kids were little. They were always so excited to see the first big snow flakes.

I have been working pretty much day and night on my items for the show on November 22nd (which is this weekend) in Spooner, Wisconsin. Here are some pics of my work in progress.

These are going to be primitive pinkeeps. Hopefully, tonight I can get them stuffed and the finishing touches put on them.

Here is a stitch picture that needs a frame

That is pretty much it for you can see, I have a lot of work to do still, that is why this post is so short (sorry). The reward for all this hard work will be spending time with my sister and daughter this weekend. My sister makes pillows and door dolls and my daughter makes stitch pictures. This craft show become a annual event for us and I look forward to it every year.

Have a Blessed day!!!! Rhonda

What ya Workin on Wednesday

Today is going to be a dark rainy day here in Wisconsin Rapids so it is a good day to stay busy working on my santas and snowmen for my up coming craft show in Spooner, Wisconsin. on November 22nd and November 29th.

Here are some of my santas in progress. They have been stuffed put through the staining process and their faces painted on.

Last night while Brent and I were watching the Biggest Loser, (he says I listen to TV not watch TV, which is true) I put on their lamb's wool beards...they are coming along nicely.

On the right is a finished santa and on the left he just needs a hat, a prim tag and lots of german glass glitter for sparkle, sparkle, sparkle...isn't he cute :) I will have 21 of these guys for the craft show.

Here are some bowl stuffer santas and a snowman...they need hats and glass glitter and then they are done.

And here is a door doll santa that I finished up yesterday, I will have 10 of these guys for the show.

So as you can see, I have lots of work to do today so I am better get busy. I hope you all have a BLESSED day and remember JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!!!

A Place Called Home

Today I am posting some pics of the house we are living in for now. Brent's boss is suppose to be building a new house on the marsh hopefully next summer, but we will see...we just take it one day at a time. This house is nice and we are thankful to have a clean warm place to live. Above is a pic of the living room.

Here is a pic of the kitchen/dining room
Another view of the dining room

Our the curtains. I have since gotten tan ones hung

The bathroom
The front of the house
The back yard, it does have a nice big deck which is nice

Well, that's it. This fall Brent was in total shock....I didn't buy one pumpkin or corn stalk...I just don't decorate here like I did at home. Maybe when we get out to the marsh I will. I will leave you with some pics of our beautiful house in Spooner. It was a great place to live and the best part of all is that I was close to my family and friends. But God has a plan for us here and I just have to be faithful and patient as that plan unfolds.

Have a BLESSED day....remember, God is in control of all our lives if we let him be.

God you all...Rhonda

Thank Heavens for Little Girls

Alyssa came for a visit this weekend, it was SO nice to have her here. We took a trip into Wisconsin Rapids. We picked up some groceries and hunted for a shower curtain for her apartment. We ended up not finding one we I dug and dug here at the house and kicked up one that I had packed away in a box (imagine that) ...she was THRILLED!!!! Brent and I made her homemade veggie beef soup to take back to college with her along with some other goodies. She enjoyed her weekend reading and relaxing in her own bed. She is such a sweetheart and I am SO proud of her. Wisconsin Rapids is not home for either of us....Spooner is and always will be, but we are trying to get use to this different environment and trying to make some memories here.

I always treasure the time I spend with any of my 3 children and grand children. It is amazing that when our kids are little, some days we can't wait for them to grow up so we can have some peace and quite. And then when they finally do grow up and move away, we can't wait for them to come visit so we can baby and fuss over them...GO FIGURE...what will it take to please us. I guess we never know how lucky we are until things change!!!! Alyssa, you are truly my gift from God and I will always be thankful that you are my little girl!!! I LOVE you!!!

Alyssa heading out door after our nice weekend together.

Brent putting together a book shelf at Alyssa's apartment a couple weeks ago. He also hung up some curtain rods and hauled in a couch we gave her and her roommates for their apartment.......he is such a handy man.

Alyssa and I went to a primitive shop here in Wisconsin Rapids called "The Country Freckle". The place was packed with women buying, buying, buying. Joni, the gal who owns the shop, wants me to bring some of my snowmen in for her to sell. I had brought some fall items in last month and she sold most of them. It is nice to have somewhere to bring my creations that is close and Joni is so nice. So sometime this week, I am going to head into her shop packin snowmen.

Have a BLESSED day.

Love ya all, Rhonda

Happy Friday

One of my new creations

TGIF day...My daughter, Alyssa, is coming to spend the weekend with us...YES!!!! We are going to hit the road on Saturday and do some exploring here in the Rapids area. I am making some of her favorite dishes....chicken and dumplings, a pumpkin desert and anything else she's hungry for. She want to cook together Saturday night so that is on the schedule too. I am sure we will also make her some dishes to bring back to college with her. I love spending time with her, she is such a FUN girl...she keeps me young!!!!

The craft show on November 22nd is fast approaching. I have been very busy trying to finish up the items I have been working on. When everything is finished up I will have 12 snowmen busts, 10 santa busts, 10 chenille snowmen on lighted wreaths, 21 santa tall santas, 17 small snowmen bowl fillers, 4 door doll mice, 7 prarie dress stitcheries, 6 stitch pictures, 4 primitive pinkeeps and 6 pillows...WOW, hope it all sells.
