Weigh-In Friday A Day Late And I am On My Way To School This Fall

I arrived back in Rapids last night so my weigh-in got pushed off until today. But to my surprise this morning, when I hopped on the scale, it showed I lost 3 pounds last week...WOO HOO....I should go home more often!!!! I had a very busy week in Spooner but I loved every minute of it!!!! So, I have lost a total of 20.5 pounds in 11 weeks...SO EXCITED!!!!

When I was home, I got to spend some time with my precious grandsons, Noah and Carson. They, along with my 3 kids are my pride and joy that's for sure. We went out to feed the horses some carrots, Noah enjoyed it but Carson...not so much.

A pic of Shannon and Alyssa riding and Kara leading them. The horse they are riding is Bo, he is 27...the other horse in the pic is Malachi, she is 12. I am sure I will be posting more pictures of them as the summer continues. They are the BEST horses EVER!!!!! We LOVE them so much!!!!

Noah feeding Gretta a carrot...excuse Gretta's hair do, she is shedding out very slowly this year. I debated if I wanted to even share this picture because she looks so awful (maybe she should be my first client for a haircut/makeover) but Noah was too cute not to post it!!!! She will shed out soon and will be her beautiful self again...it's tough to get old, Gretta is 23.

My sister and Carson, I love this picture!!!

Carson with dreamy eyes....so precious!!

I made a dessert and the boys enjoyed licking the beaters...they are sooo cute!! Like Father like son's, their dad LOVED to lick the beaters too when he was little...still does I am sure:)

And here I am, the proud Granny with my precious little boys. I was also like Gretta not having the best hair day here. Oh well, you'll have that...like I said, it's tough to get old, lol!!!

Speaking of hair, when I arrived back here in Rapids yesterday, there was a letter waiting for me....it was a acceptance letter from Mid-State College saying that I have been accepted into the Cosmetology program for the Fall semester, I WAS SO HAPPY!!!! As I blogged in a few posts back, you can read about it here I was on a waiting list. Well, I am off the list and ON MY WAY...I AM SO HAPPY!!!! And to make it even better, some of my credits from about 20 years ago when I went to school for word processing are transferring....BONUS!!!! Thank you Jesus for this awesome blessings and for answering my prayer!!!!

And speaking of answered prayer...my son Kasey was in a motorcycle accident on his way to work on Thursday morning around 6:30am. He put on his brakes to avoid hitting a deer and his front wheel locked up on his Harley and he ended up tipping over and sliding down the middle of the road going who knows how fast, he was transfer to the emergency room by ambulance. When my daughters and I got there, they had already given him quit a bit of pain meds because he had road rash really bad, a dislocated big toe and a broken foot. I PRAISE GOD that was all he had because he was NOT wearing a helmet. I have told him and told him to wear a helmet, but of course he would not listen to his Mother (so stubborn)...so I have said MANY prayers asking God to protect him. On Thursday my prayers were answered, he didn't even hit his head during the whole ordeal, we serve an AWESOME GOD!!!! I am sure my son will be wearing a helmet from now on...I can only hope!!!! He is having surgery on his foot on Tuesday and I will continue praying for his healing and that he learned a good lesson. We all need to pray for our children...God answers the prayers of a praying Mother!!!!

I have much more to share about my week and many more picture. I went over to our new house project everyday I was home and took lots of pics of the progress. And also, I stocked my booth at the Antique Mall with lots of goodies and took lots of pics of that too. So stay tuned, I will post them soon.

Have a blessed and safe weekend everyone....Rhonda

Weigh-In Friday, Home Sweet Home And The Cranberry Vines Are Planted

I am still prim'in...I am sure you are all wondering if I gave it up because I have not had much to show you for awhile. This week, I have been trying to finish up these dolls to put in my booth at the Antique Mall in Spooner. They all are work in progress but I will get them finished up ASAP!!!!!

And here is a little Annie door doll. She will be holding an American Flag just in time for the 4th of July...adorable!!!! I will post pictures of all these dolls finished and in my booth next week.

The Cranberry Vines All Planted!!!!

My husband and his crew planted 45 acres of cranberry vines in 6 days...wow, that is amazing!!!!! They beat their record from last year which was 10 days to plant 45 acres. Above is a picture of the first pass of vines being planted in this bed. It takes 5 years to get the first crop...a lot of TLC until them.

The bed on the left is planted...the bed on the right they are working on. The beds are almost 4 acres each and they planted 12 beds. They finished on Monday...I am so proud of him, he is such a hard worker!!!!

This one is finished and the tender loving care has begun, there will be a whole summer of this!!!!

A close up of the vines planted in the ground. Cranberry vines go dormant in the winter and come to life in the summer month. They get very green and lush and produce the beautiful cranberry.

Home Sweet Home...We Have Walls!!!!

We headed to Spooner on Tuesday for a quick trip home. We had to pick out some things regarding the house project and of course we spent some time watching and looking over the progress so far.
I could not believe that there were walls up already!!!!! This is a view of the front of the house.

A view of the back.

My husband looking over the basement...it was so cool to walk through it with a roof over our heads...PROGRESS!!!!!

Here is what will be our dining room..I LOVE all the windows!!!! I think it will be my favorite room in the house!!!!

My husband looking the plan over...it kills him not be there everyday looking everything over but, work is in Rapids for now so that's life. We are SOOOO happy with our builder...he is a perfectionist and is doing an AWESOME job!!!!! And a FAST one at that!!!

Weight Loss For The Week

This morning I was down a .5 pound, I am sure it had something to do with the pizza my husband and I had Tuesday night, and it was NOT Nutrisystem pizza either!!!! Oh well, I'm over it and I have been full NS since...sometimes you just need to take a break:). As I said, I am heading to Spooner this morning and I am sure my girls will keep me very busy next week so I am expecting it to show on the scale during my next weigh-in. I also have to work at the Antique Mall on Tuesday and Wednesday so I have a very busy week ahead of me in Spooner...but I LOVE IT!!!!

Have a blessed weekend everyone and I will post again when I get home, Rhonda

Weigh-In Friday

I lost 1/2 a pound last week for a grand total of 17 pounds lost in 9 weeks....I'LL TAKE IT!!!! This week I didn't run as much. If I had, I am sure I would have seen a bigger loss for the week. So next week I have to step it up. The weather here has been sooooo crappy but that is no excuse, I can always get on the treadmill. I guess I really like running outside better but that is not always possible so I am going to have to suck it up and hop on the treadmill when the weather is rainy and cold!!!!!

I will have to admit that I have got doll making burn-out right now. I love making them and will continue but I guess I need to take a little break for a little bit and create other things. So, I have been enjoying stitching lately...here is one I just finished, I have to frame it yet but I LOVE IT!!!!

Newest Creation

I bought some old sugar sacks during one of my travels last winter. As soon as I saw them I thought they would be adorable with a stitched saying on the front and then stuffed with Sweet Annie or maybe even a doll....I will see when I get that far. But for now, I am happy with the work in progress.

I started this little beauty 2 years ago, this winter I finally finished it. I coffee stained it last week now just have to frame it up....just in time for the 4th of July.

Today, I got in the mood to sew a shirt so here it is. It is still work in progress and I have to do some tweaking to make it come out the way I want. This is my first draft and I am going to make some changes to the pattern and make it again.....I will see what happens after that.

Well, that's what I have been up to today. My husband is on his way home from work so I better get supper going. Have a BLESSED weekend everyone....Rhonda

Busy Weekend

Me and my precious grandson Carson....I was in my glory spending time with him!!!!!!

Brent and I went home Friday night. We had to do some running for our house project and also I wanted to spend Mother's Day with my kids. Our first stop was out at our land checking out the house progress. The basement is ready for the floor to be poured which was suppose to happen today. If all goes well, our builder is scheduled to start building tomorrow or Wednesday....awesome, can't wait!!!!!

We decided to put in-floor heat in our home. We didn't put it in our last home and regretted it, so this time we went the extra mile and went for it.

A close-up of the floor.

Happy Mother's Day

My kids....son Kasey, grandson Carson, daughter Alyssa, myself and daughter Kara....I love them with all my heart!!!!!

We had a cookout to celebrate Mother's Day and also mine and Jessica's (Kara friend from high-school) birthday's. Kara made a chocolate cake from scratch, I did have a little taste of it...it was delicious!!!! But I am still going strong on my Nutrisystem.

Makeovers

After dinner, Kara and I gave makeovers....Jessica wanted her hair colored and Kasey needed a hair cut so we got busy.

Jessica is excited for her new hair do.

Jessica and Kara....work it girl!!!!!

Me giving Kasey a hair cut.

I gave my son Kasey a haircut. I told him that when I start school and I get a few weeks under my belt, the hair cuts will get better. Until then, I will do my best. He has been cutting his own hair so anything has to be better then that,LOL!!!!!

He was nervous I was going to cut too much off the top. Maybe I missed my opportunity to get him back for his teenage years....oh well, maybe next time:)

Campfire

After the hair cuts were finished, we all sat around the campfire and enjoyed the beautiful night together.

Kara and Jessica....lookin good Jessica!!!! Kara did such a good job on her hair!!!!

We are now back in Rapids and Brent is in full swing planting cranberry vines. He is hoping to plant 45 acres in 10 days...so as you can imagine he is a workin fool.

That's it for now....until next time....Blessings, Rhonda
